Having worked on the ground in India, we understand the resource constraints that local organizations face from hiring staff with constitutional and international human rights expertise, to maintaining a team to document, file, and monitor human rights violations. To address these gaps, we coordinate a pro bono team of legal advisors with experience in using national courts to hold governments accountable for human rights violations. Our team provides hands-on support in all areas of strategic litigation from trainings on socio-economic rights, to in-depth fact-finding investigations, research and drafting of legal petitions & reports, oral advocacy techniques, and effective implementation tactics and strategies. We also establish community-based networks that support local partners throughout the legal process. And because we believe that effective strategies must be shared, we disseminate the work of our partners to regional and global networks.
